Genesis, lines 1220-1326

The poet changes the biblical account somewhat by distinguishing between Lameh (of the lineage of Cain, who kills his own ancestor) and Lamech, who is the father of Noah.
The children of Seth choose brides for themselves among the children of Cain. Now God is angered at the children of Seth, also. He proposes to destroy everything that was upon earth. But because Noah is a righteous man, God tells him of the impending flood and orders him to build the Ark.
