Genesis, lines 1431-1542

The waters begin to recede, and Noah lets the raven fly out of the Ark. But the raven perches on a floating corpse and does not return. Seven days later Noah releases the dove, but she can find no resting place and so returns. Seven days after that the dove is again released. This time she brings back and olive twig, so Noah knows that the waters have sufficiently receded.

God speaks to Noah, telling him to be fruitful and multiply, but to avoid those who have killed others. God promises never again to destroy the earth with a deluge.
